A seamless private full-day journey through Hanoi's hidden Ngoc Ha market, the B-52 crash site, Temple of Literature, Hoa Lo Prison, and a golden West Lake sunset — with no midday hotel return.

01
Ngoc Ha Market & the B-52 Wreck

A slow wander through a market visitors rarely find, then the quiet, extraordinary sight of a downed American bomber still resting in its lake — both wrapped up while the morning is still cool.

02
Temple of Literature & Hoa Lo Prison

Vietnam's oldest university, unhurried and nearly empty at this hour, followed by one of Southeast Asia's most powerful colonial-era sites — two very different kinds of history, back to back.

03
A Long Lakeside Lunch & the Women's Museum

A relaxed, air-conditioned break in a courtyard full of regional cooking — your built-in midday pause — then an unhurried afternoon among rarely-told stories at one of Hanoi's most underrated museums.

04
Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum & One Pillar Pagoda

Ba Dinh Square, where independence was declared in 1945, and a thousand-year-old pagoda balanced on a single stone pillar — plenty of space here to simply look, not just move through.

05
Golden Hour on West Lake

A breezy lakeside walk past Vietnam's oldest pagoda, then cà phê trứng at the water's edge as the sky turns amber and rose — the easy, unhurried close to a full day of discovery.

SeptemberHot Season
Hot and humid. This itinerary is built around it: all outdoor walking (Ngoc Ha Market, the B-52 site, Temple of Literature) is completed before 10:45 AM, and West Lake is scheduled for the cooler late-afternoon window from 15:30 onward. Bring sun protection and stay hydrated.
Closed this monthHo Chi Minh Mausoleum (interior)
Closed for its annual maintenance period (September–November). The Mausoleum interior is not accessible this month. The exterior visit at Ba Dinh Square and the One Pillar Pagoda are unaffected and remain part of the day as planned.
We generally recommend skipping the interior visit — it uses a significant block of the day for a brief, camera-free viewing and isn't built into this itinerary's timing. If you would still like to go inside, please let us know in advance so we can rearrange the day's schedule around the morning-only window.

Deposits are non-refundable. What you recover on the balance depends on how far ahead of departure we receive written notice, and group departures follow a separate schedule. The full terms are set out in our Terms & Conditions.
